1. Introduction and acceptance of terms
Welcome to ShineRise Essentials. These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the ShineRise Essentials website, online store, distributor registration platform and related services.
By browsing our website, placing an order, making a payment or registering as a distributor, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by the provisions applicable to your transaction.
ShineRise Essentials operates an online retail and distributor platform offering household cleaning products, laundry products, hygiene products, fragrances, car-care products and other listed merchandise.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013, where applicable. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African legislation.
2. Products and product information
ShineRise Essentials makes reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, prices and availability displayed on the website are accurate and up to date. Customers should review the product description, size, quantity, intended use and applicable instructions before purchasing.
Product images are provided for illustrative purposes. Actual packaging, labelling or appearance may occasionally differ due to manufacturer or packaging updates, provided that the product supplied remains materially consistent with its description.
All products are subject to availability. Where a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed and payment received, the customer will be notified and offered an appropriate alternative, if available, or a refund for the unavailable product.
3. Pricing and payment terms
All website prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR), unless expressly stated otherwise. The displayed selling price applies at the time the customer places the order. The final amount payable, including applicable delivery charges and other disclosed fees, will be presented during checkout before payment is completed.
ShineRise Essentials accepts the payment methods made available at checkout, including PayFast-supported payment methods (including applicable debit and credit card payments) and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), where available. PayFast is used as an independent third-party payment service provider to facilitate secure online payment processing.
Customers must follow the payment instructions presented during checkout. An order paid through EFT will only be processed once the payment has been received and verified. ShineRise Essentials does not request or retain customers' full bank card numbers, CVV security codes or card passwords on its website. An order confirmation or payment notification does not constitute confirmation that an unavailable product can be supplied.
4. Distributor registration and joining fee
Individuals interested in participating in the ShineRise Essentials distributor programme may register through the official website. A once-off distributor registration fee of R50.00 applies.
The joining fee covers distributor registration and the administration and activation of the distributor account. It is separate from product purchases, starter kits, stock orders, delivery fees and other business-related expenses.
Distributor registration is subject to: providing accurate and complete registration information; being at least 18 years of age; accepting the applicable distributor programme rules; and successful confirmation of the required registration payment. A distributor account is activated once the registration payment has been confirmed and the registration requirements have been satisfied.
The R50 registration fee is a once-off payment and is not a recurring monthly subscription. Once registration and account activation services have been completed, the joining fee is generally non-refundable, except where a refund or cancellation is required by applicable law, where the payment was made in error, or where ShineRise Essentials has failed to provide the registration service paid for. Nothing in this clause removes any applicable statutory cooling-off, cancellation or refund rights.
5. Distributor pricing and reselling
Approved and active distributors may purchase qualifying products at the distributor prices displayed within their distributor accounts. Distributors may independently resell purchased products at the recommended retail prices published by ShineRise Essentials. The difference between the distributor purchase price and the actual resale price represents gross product profit before expenses.
Distributors are responsible for their own operating costs, including transportation, advertising, communication, delivery to their customers and other business expenses.
Distributors must:
- Represent ShineRise Essentials and its products honestly.
- Use accurate product descriptions and approved marketing information.
- Avoid misleading customers about product performance or benefits.
- Avoid making unauthorised medical, therapeutic, health or guaranteed income claims.
- Comply with applicable consumer-protection, advertising and product-safety legislation.
Distributor participation does not create an employment relationship, partnership or agency relationship with ShineRise Essentials. Distributors operate independently and are responsible for their own business activities and applicable tax obligations.
6. Commissions and distributor earnings
Where referral commissions or other distributor incentives are offered, they will be calculated and administered according to the official compensation plan and qualification requirements published by ShineRise Essentials. Commission eligibility may depend on qualifying transactions, verified payments, active distributor status, applicable sales requirements and other published programme conditions.
Commissions are not guaranteed. Distributor earnings depend on actual qualifying business activity and are not guaranteed by registration, recruitment, purchasing stock or participation in the programme. Illustrative profit calculations, earnings examples and promotional materials are provided for general information only and do not constitute a promise or guarantee of income.
ShineRise Essentials reserves the right to review and correct commission calculations where duplicate, cancelled, refunded, reversed, fraudulent or otherwise disqualified transactions have affected the calculation. Any commission adjustment must be supported by the relevant transaction or programme records and handled in accordance with applicable law and the published compensation plan.
Monthly salary (ranks 2–8) is paid at one highest level meeting that month’s personal sales and cumulative team sales targets, even when active direct or team counts prevent official rank advancement. No salary qualifies below R3,500 cumulative team sales. Monthly amounts: R350, R700, R1,500, R3,500, R5,000, R10,000 and R20,000. Their table sum is R41,050; amounts are not combined for a distributor. Qualification and administrator approval are required; rank bonuses remain once-off. Payslips on the next month’s 14th and payment due on the 15th are not proof of settlement.
7. Order processing and confirmation
Customers may place orders through the ShineRise Essentials online store. Before submitting an order, customers should review their selected products, quantities, delivery details, contact information and total payable amount. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their delivery and contact details are accurate.
Once payment has been confirmed, the order will be prepared for dispatch or collection, depending on the delivery option selected. Customers will receive reasonable order confirmation and delivery information using the contact details supplied during checkout.
ShineRise Essentials reserves the right to contact customers to verify suspicious, incomplete or potentially fraudulent transactions before processing an order. Where an order cannot be fulfilled, the customer will be informed and an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement will be offered.
8. Delivery and shipping
Delivery is offered across South Africa through Pargo, with weight-based delivery charges and free confirmed collection. Please read the full Shipping & Delivery Policy.
9. Returns, exchanges and refunds
Returns, exchanges, cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with applicable South African consumer-protection legislation, including the seven-day cooling-off right for qualifying online transactions and the six-month remedy for defective, unsafe or non-compliant goods. 10. Product safety and responsible use
Certain ShineRise Essentials products may include household cleaning chemicals, laundry products, hygiene products, fragrances, car-care products and other items requiring responsible handling. Customers must:
- Read and follow the product label and instructions before use.
- Observe applicable safety precautions and warnings.
- Keep chemical products away from children and pets.
- Store products in their original containers where appropriate.
- Avoid mixing cleaning chemicals unless expressly permitted by the product instructions.
- Avoid ingestion, direct contact with eyes or other unsafe exposure.
- Seek appropriate professional assistance in the event of accidental exposure or misuse.
Products must only be used for their stated intended purposes. ShineRise Essentials does not authorise distributors or customers to make medical, therapeutic or disease-treatment claims that are not supported by applicable product approvals and authorised product information.
11. Privacy and personal information (POPIA)
ShineRise Essentials processes personal information responsibly in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Please read the full Privacy Policy.
12. Website security and acceptable use
Customers and distributors must use the ShineRise Essentials website responsibly. Users must not:
- Attempt unauthorised access to website accounts or systems.
- Submit false or misleading registration information.
- Interfere with website operations.
- Use the website to conduct fraudulent transactions.
- Upload malicious software or harmful content.
- Misuse another person's personal or payment information.
ShineRise Essentials reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse and take reasonable action, including restricting access to affected accounts where justified and lawful.
13. Intellectual property
The ShineRise Essentials name, branding, logos, website content, product descriptions, graphics and original marketing materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No person may reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit protected ShineRise Essentials materials without prior authorisation, except where permitted by law or by an applicable distributor marketing licence.
14. Limitation of liability
ShineRise Essentials will exercise reasonable care in operating its website, processing orders and supplying products. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under South African law.
To the extent permitted by law, ShineRise Essentials is not responsible for indirect losses arising from a customer's misuse of products, unauthorised product modifications, failure to follow safety instructions or inaccurate information supplied by the customer. This clause does not affect any applicable consumer rights, product guarantees or remedies relating to defective, unsafe or incorrectly supplied goods.

Customers and distributors are encouraged to contact ShineRise Essentials directly if they experience difficulties with an order, payment, delivery, product or distributor account.

When submitting a complaint, please provide your order number or distributor reference, a description of the issue and any relevant supporting information. ShineRise Essentials will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve complaints promptly. Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from approaching an appropriate consumer-protection authority or exercising any other lawful dispute-resolution right.
16. Amendments to these terms
ShineRise Essentials may update these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary to reflect changes in business operations, products, services, legal requirements or website functionality. Updated terms will be published on the official website with a revised effective or updated date. Changes will not unlawfully remove rights that have already accrued to customers under applicable legislation.
17. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be dealt with in accordance with applicable South African legislation and the jurisdiction of the competent courts or appropriate dispute-resolution bodies.
